Fytotextile vertical garden
The Fytotextile® system, developed by Terapia Urbana in collaboration with the University of Seville, represents an advanced solution for the creation of vertical gardens. It consists of multilayer flexible modules that are connected to a substructure anchored to the supporting wall, forming a matrix of pockets that house the plants with their own substrate, facilitating their adaptation and development. This design allows easy access to the irrigation system, simplifying maintenance. With more than 22,000 m² installed in more than 20 international markets, Fytotextile® adapts to projects of various dimensions, offering a harmonious integration of nature in urban environments.

Fytotextile® is a modular textile system whose optimized combination of layers creates an excellent growing medium for the development of vegetation. Its design increases root oxygenation and improves irrigation distribution by protecting the surface where it is installed. The system allows easy registration of the irrigation system for better maintenance.

FYTOTEXTILE® TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE
The Fytotextile® system provides numerous technical features that make it an advanced construction solution for the installation of state-of-the-art landscaped facades. In addition to an excellent mechanical behavior, its high porosity maximizes the gas exchange of the buried part of the plant, which is responsible for air biofiltration and fixation of VOCs, so harmful to health.
This is shown in the scientific publication “Volatile organic compounds removal by means of a felt-based living wall to improve indoor air quality”, carried out within the Naturib research group.

TESTED TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Fytotextile® is constantly evolving to implement improvements that meet the growing needs of a developing market. The absence of specific regulations leads us to objectively characterize the long-term performance of the construction system by means of tests, trials and certifications by external companies such as Applus®.
